twenty-seven

seventhis is me at seven. back when birthdays always meant getting munchkins for breakfast. (if that sounds bizarre - they're simply donut holes of various sorts from dunkin donuts.) and having swim parties - the main benefit of a july birthday, especially since during the school year summer birthdays were always corralled into a one day celebration in may (see below). i think on my sixth birthday, however, my friends and i went to a park that had this cool wooden playground, only to be holed up in one corner because there were teenagers making out in the middle section that connected all the parts. we were a bit miffed.

1985: summer birthdays

chocolate bagthis year for the big 27, i got to experience mccormick & schmick's *chocolate bag* thanks to my good friends. once again, sounds somewhat bizarre, but is overwhelmingly good. thankfully, i was sharing with at least two others. otherwise i might have made myself sick. and my sister gave me these old dr. pepper glasses from 1979 she found in an antique mall! (if the math takes too long - i was born that year)
